Having designed the successfully kickstarted PackedPixels 1, we were asked to update and refine the design for version 2. Expanding on the existing system that worked so well we created 2 new sizing versions – the PackedPixels 4K and the PackedPixels Go. These came with increased connectivity options and thinner bezels from the previous design.
We were able to successfully balance the new sleeker visuals against the product’s rigidity. The 4K screen size posed a particular challenge which we addressed through the use of FEA to design a pressed metal reinforcement frame. The distinctive diamond pattern across the back of the product also adds visual interest and a tactile feel while being held.
