Problem
Access to prescription spectacles for disadvantaged people is incredibly limited. The glasses that charities receive are donated because they are worn or unappealing and are shipped to people who have differing prescription requirements. This has lead The World Health Organisation to conclude that the way glasses from developed nations are donated to disadvantaged people needs to change.
Solution
Together with Style Eyes we have developed a high value, low cost product which can be bought in developed nations and donated to disadvantaged people. The flexibility of the lug and mask system provides modularity for people wanting to change their prescription lenses. It is a system that is simple to assemble and adjust, while optimising sustainable distribution.
